No Ordinary Owls!

Second Graders made these shiny birds using tooling foil and sharpie markers. Intricate patterns were used to really make them pop.

Warm and Cool Fall Leaves:

First graders learned about cropping-something going off the page and overlapping-one thing a little on top of the other and used these techniques to make interesting compositions of falling leaves. Then they used their warm colors in the foreground and cool colors in the background to make the leaves pop off the page.

First Grade Learns about Kandinsky

Russian abstract painter Wassily Kandinsky painted his concentric circle pieces while listening to classical music. First graders did the same and came up with some interesting color combinations!

Second Grade Architects Design Homes

Second grade learned all about the parts of a building as they designed their dream home or drew the elevation of the house they live in now. Each drawing with then transfered into a foam printing block and printed onto a sky background of warm or cool colors!
