Architecture: Castles

First grade learned about the parts and purpose of a castle during medieval times as the class worked together to paint the stone facade. An effort was made to offset the bricks to "keep the walls standing up." Our castle is proudly hung in the Media Center and presided over by Queens Catherine Hamilton and Paula Caradine of the Land of Lincoln. A big thank you to Architecture Adventure and Adrienne McMullen for cutting out our castle and providing the painting supplies!

  1. I love the collaborative aspect of this project. The kids did a great job painting the bricks!
